Interview with Eli Gelardin

by Michele Martin on February 6, 2015

As part of our ongoing series of interviews with Centers for Independent Living who have been pursuing the entrepreneurial path, I spoke with Eli Gelardin, Executive Director of the Marin Center for Independent Living.

The Marin Center is one of the smallest Centers in California and Eli shares with us some of the strategies they’ve utilized to further their mission and diversify their revenue streams by seeking out new opportunities based on their existing strengths. A great interview with lots of good advice!

Great interview. “Have to be creative…” so true for all centers but especially those who don’t have sufficient funding.

Eli and Michele-
Your interview was well done. It’s helpful to know what other CILs are doing to broaden their reach in the community and the unique approaches they use to do so. Eli, your thoughts on entrepreneurship being a large part of IL’s roots are a good reminder to all of us. Thanks
DF
