Friday Link Round Up: Small Business Resources

by Michele Martin on July 13, 2018

Yesterday, as part of our ongoing series on entrepreneurial CILs, I did an interview with a CIL Director who has made tremendous use of small business resources. (I’ll be posting that interview in the weeks ahead). For this week’s Round Up, then, here are some small business resources that you can access to help you in developing your business plans and pursuing entrepreneurial strategies.

Directory of Small Business Development Centers–The Small Business Administration operates Small Business Development Centers (SBDC’s) in every state. This link will connect you to the SBDC’s in your area.

SBA Guide–The SBA also offers an online guide on everything from planning and launching your venture to growing in the years ahead.

SBA Learning Center–Lots of learning opportunities here!

SCORE–SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers in 300 chapters. They partner with the SBA and often with local Chamber’s of Commerce, to provide advice and mentoring in starting up or growing entrepreneurial ventures. They can be a great help in creating a business plan, too.

The 5 Best Small Business Resources You’re Not Using–A few other options to consider reaching out to on this list.
