Many CILs are working with young people, developing programs and resources to serve their needs. In this week’s Round-Up, we share some resources related to youth development and youth programming.

Youth Cafe Toolkit–“A youth café is a safe, dedicated, quality meeting space for young people ranging in age from 10 to 25 years. It is determined by young people for young people, in partnership with adults in the locality.” Although written for an Irish audience, this toolkit provides a wealth of information and ideas for CILs to explore.

Try it Tuesday Blog–A few years ago, I worked with the Philadelphia Youth Network to help them bring more youth engagement practices to their workforce programs. The Try It Tuesday blog offers a wealth of ideas for engaging with teens in creative ways.

A Guide to Hosting Your Own ParentCamp–Parents are key to youth success. This guide can help you develop an “unconference” style day-long discussion series with parents.

Liberating Structures–A wealth of activities that can be used with youth and adults to increase engagement and improve the quality of discussions.

Engaging Youth: A How-To Guide for Creating Opportunities for Young People to Participate, Lead and Succeed–Youth leadership best practices and tools.
